A mini bike frame is a set of metal components that joins the wheels to the bike itself. The frame can be assembled in many different ways; some are easier to do than others.

The standard mini bike frame comes with one seat post and three chain rings. The front wheel is mounted on the front triangle of the seat triangle. In a standard seat-and-bike assembly, the seat triangle is fitted directly to the seat tube. This method of assembly does not allow the wheels to slide around the bike frame when the bike is in motion.

Mini bicycle frames built using a semi-custom design feature a seat post and two chain rings in the center. One post is mounted directly on the seat tube and another is mounted under the seat tube. The seat tube is bolted into the frame.

Custom frames have a seat post and three chains on the left side of the bike. These chains are mounted on a long, short, or upright seat tube.

Custom frames can be made of titanium. The rear hub is a lightweight aluminum component. The alloy hub is mounted on a lightweight, high-carbon, or chrome-plated, rear hub.

Custom frames can have a fixed seat tube, but are designed to accommodate a drop-down fork. Some frames also use an internal hub and are not as light and durable as those with external hub locations.
