As a fellow adrenaline junkie, I can understand the craving for the next big thing. As well as the rush you get when you try an adventure sport. Furthermore, I have tried some of the extreme adrenaline-pumping sports such as water rafting, bungee jumping, and kayaking. Hence, I am going to list out some of the activities you can do to get your pulse racing.
Bungee Jumping And The Adrenaline Rush
In my experience, bungee jumping is one of those activities that thrusts you with an instant dopamine rush. It all starts off with you looking at the tall bridge, or crane from which you are about to jump off. Following this, a guide then takes you right ontop and harnesses you in and the wait begins.
At this time, you’re already feeling the butterflies as you watch other screaming people take the plunge. Finally, when your turn comes, you feel like a prisoner about to walk the plank as you are led to the edge. And now its action time and you got to take the leap of faith.
But its all worth in the end, when you take the plunge there is an instant feeling of flying and falling all at once. It really takes a certain type of person to enjoy it, but the adrenaline rush is uncomparable.
White Water Rafting
This next adventure sport takes you to a whole new level of getting an adrenaline rush. Firstly, this isn’t a harness sport, your open to the elements with only a life jacket to protect you.
Secondly, water currents and rapids can change in an instant. For example, if you step into a river with level 2 rapids, a whole lot change, and you can find yourself battling level 4 rapids. And once you get into the raft and start rowing you will experience the raw and untamed fury of nature.
And you will be thrown around, splashed on and even might fall into the flowing river. But the key here is not to panic and float on your back. Also, let the current carry you till your rescue.
Dirt Biking For The Adrenaline Junkie
This is a sport, not for the faint-hearted but guarantees an adrenaline rush. But unlike others, you will have to train for this intensely before attempting rough tracks. Furthermore, in this sport, the bike is totally under your control and you are in charge of your fate.
Riders feel the rush as they come inches close to a disaster but are able to handle it. The first thing you will experience is the intense speed at which the bike takes off. Secondly, the dirt paths you use will have many obstacles that can catch you off guard. In other words, you will feel your heart skip a beat every time the bike skids of hits a bunch. And then comes to the jumps where you fly 10 feet in the air and sometimes do a flip, just for fun.
To sum up, adrenaline thrills can be found in many adventure sports depending on the interest of the person. But its always good to keep in mind that life is precious and safety comes first when attempting dangerous activities.
